Recurring projects are similar to recurring tasks but instead of creating tasks automatically, Marvin creates entire projects automatically for you based on a pattern.
Creating a recurring project
You can either create a recurring project in the "Recurring Items" overlay (click the menu at the bottom left), or you can turn an existing project into a recurring one by clicking on its edit icon (cog).
Where do recurring projects show up?
Marvin will automatically schedule your recurring projects for you, so they will show up in the Today list like your recurring tasks or like any other task you've manually scheduled.
Recurring project instances aren't displayed in the Master List view unless they're unscheduled.
How to automatically schedule tasks inside a recurring project
In the recurring project dialog, you can click on the schedule button of a task to have it automatically be scheduled based on the project creation date.
Why are my recurring projects only showing up for the next two weeks or month?
For performance reasons, Marvin will only create a certain number of future instances in advance. By default, that's 15 days for daily recurring tasks and projects. However, each day when you open Marvin it will check if it should create any new future instances and will automatically create them for you.
To change the defaults, go to ☰ → Recurring Items and click on the "Edit settings" button in the top-right corner.
