Is your Marvin app closing as soon as you open it? Here's a guide to help you delete the app directory and reinstall Marvin.

If your Marvin desktop app is opening and closing rapidly, follow these steps to resolve the issue by reinstalling the app and removing the Marvin app directory.

Steps to resolve the issue

1. Open the App Directory:

  • On Windows and Linux: Press Alt to display the help menu, click on "Help", and then "Open App Dir".

  • On MacOS: Click on “Help” and then on “Open App Dir”, or open a new Finder window, press Cmd+Shift+G, and paste in: ~/Library/Application Support/Marvin

2. Delete the Marvin Directory:

  • Navigate to the App Directory as described above.

  • Delete all files and folders in this directory. Alternatively, go to the parent folder and delete the “Marvin” directory.

3. Uninstall Marvin

  • On Windows: Open the Start menu, type "Add or remove programs", and select it. Find "Marvin" in the list, click on it, and select "Uninstall".

  • On MacOS: Open Finder, go to Applications, find "Marvin", and drag it to the Trash.

4. Install Marvin

  • Visit the official Marvin download page: Amazing Marvin Cross Platform.

  • Download the installer for your operating system and run it.

  • Complete the installation and log in.
