If you frequently need to add a specific type of task the fast buttons strategy lets you create buttons to quickly add a certain type of task. Pre-configure the task properties in the settings and then add those buttons to the sidebar (head to Sidebar strategy settings), the custom squares or any of the other navigation strategies.

Here's an example of some useful fast add buttons:

Please keep in mind that in order to use certain shortcuts like Start dates, End dates, Labels, Duration estimates, etc. you should have these strategies turned on.

Right now you can add fast add buttons to the following strategies:

To add a button to a strategy, go to its settings and there choose "Add new item" -> "Fast Add Button" and pick the one you want to add.
