Ideas to try
Due tasks show up on their own. Turn on Auto-Schedule Due Tasks. Tasks show up in your day as they come due. With the default setting, tasks due tomorrow are already pulled into today.
A heads-up a week ahead. Make a smart list of tasks due in the next 7 days and connect it to a Custom Alert, like "You have $COUNT things due this week". The alert appears in your day whenever something matches.
Reminders in one step. Type a time in the title of a task scheduled for a day, like Call Anna 14:00, and Marvin adds a reminder for you.
